Kits Sorted by Where They Go on Your Terrace
Start with the spot, not the spec sheet. Every kit sends up to 799VA into your home, so the real question is where it'll catch the most sun.
House wall or yard floor?
Never the yard's boundary walls, never a roof. The walls round a terrace yard usually belong to the boundary, so we only offer walls of your own house.
Hybrid kits: house wall, gable or floor
One stand that fixes to a wall of your house or sits on the floor. Any wall install needs a professional assessment first.
The Plus 1030W and Max 1260W have more than 960W of panels, so have a professional check your electrics before you plug one in.
Floor frame kits: the yard floor only
A fixed stand for level flags or paving, held down with concrete blocks. Not for walls or roofs.

What's in every box
- Solar panels: TOPCon N-type, glass on both sides
- An APsystems EZ1-M 800W microinverter, which turns the panels' power into mains power for your house
- The stand: a fixed floor frame, or a hybrid frame for a wall or the floor
- A 4m lead with a factory-fitted, fused UK plug. Don't cut it off or rewire it
Not in the box: ballast blocks for the floor, the outdoor socket, and the professional wall assessment if it's going on the house. Each kit page lists its own box, to the cable.
Before you order: socket, RCD and permission
- A weatherproof outdoor socket within the kit's 4m lead. The plug goes straight in: no extension leads, cable reels or adaptors.
- Modern RCD protection in your fuse box. Got an old fuse box, or not sure? An electrician can check it, or fit the outdoor socket for you.
- Renting, leasehold or in a managed block? Ask first and get a yes in writing from your landlord, freeholder or managing agent.
- Going on a wall? A professional assessment first (the maker's rule), and only a wall of your own house, never the yard's boundary wall.
- Kits over 960W of panels (Plus 1030W and Max 1260W): have a professional check your electrics before you plug in.
- Tell your home insurer, and register the kit free at myplugin.solar before first use. That lets Electricity North West know.
- One kit per household, and never with a home battery.

Five taps: your spot, your space, which way it faces, rent or own, and your socket. One kit back, with the reason.
